How to Request Access to CareConnect

Overview of the Enrolment Process

  • Each eligible worksite needs to request access for CareConnect. 
  • Once a worksite is setup, each eligible user will need to complete their individual enrolment steps.

Worksite enrolment steps

  1. Worksite expresses interest (~15 mins): Lead physician or Worksite manager completes the intake form (Found here) with information about your worksite and the users who will need access.
  2. Receives enrolment instructions: Worksite lead receives detailed instructions of the process.  
  3. Once the worksite is approved, Worksite lead completes the online Privacy and Security Declaration (time varies depending on worksites technology maturity).

Once these steps are complete, each eligible user needs to complete their individual enrolment steps which are outlined below. 
  • Every eligible user of CareConnect has their own account in order to access patient information. 
  • Once a worksite has been approved and setup, each user will need to complete the steps detailed below. 
  • CareConnect uses the BC Services Card to validate your identity.  More information on the BC Services Card can be found here. 
User enrolment steps

  1. Register and Download BC Services Card Account (~15 mins): Includes video validation and smartphone setup
  2. Linking your BC Services Card with CareConnect (~1 min): Completed using your smartphone and our enrolment portal
  3. User Online Enrolment (~10 mins): This process includes the linkage to your worksite completed in the previous step.
  4. Online Privacy Course (~15 mins):  Completed through an online learning platform.  The Enrolment team is automatically notified when complete.
  5. Health Practitioner CareConnect Access Agreement (HPCAA) (~15 mins): In addition, all Physicians, NPs, RNs and Pharmacists need to complete  the HPCAA through the Learning Hub portal.
