At PHSA, we offer opportunities to specialize in:

  • Oncology at BC Cancer
  • Pediatrics at BC Children's Hospital
  • Women's health at BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre
  • Mental health with BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services.

New graduate NPs are welcome and encouraged to apply to all opportunities, where they will have extensive opportunities to grow and develop their careers in this emerging field.


At PHSA, we offer a commitment to ongoing growth and professional development, with eligibility for an annual professional development allowance. PHSA's Nurse Practitioners receive dedicated training and mentorship in their chosen area of specialty, via our Nurse Practitioner Mentorship Program, with onboarding training needs assessment in a specialty setting.

 

To be eligible to work as a Nurse Practitioner with PHSA, candidates must:


  • Possess current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Be eligible to complete the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) through the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Have a minimum of four years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
  • Have the ability to perform the full scope of Nurse Practitioner duties and responsibilities.
