PHSA participates in province-wide measurement initiatives led by the BC Office of Patient-Centred Measurement.
This patient experience measurement work is supported by the BC Ministry of Health and all BC health authorities. For more than 20 years, it has helped to capture perspectives of people receiving health care services across the province. These voluntary surveys provide valuable insights that help shape and improve services provided.
A random sample of patients are invited to complete a survey by phone or online. If you're selected, you'll receive a letter in the mail explaining how to participate, or how to opt out. All information is kept strictly confidential.
Survey results help PHSA:
- Identify areas where care can be improved
- Track progress over time
- Inform decision-making and resource allocation
