Provider Services & Information Management

This project aims to ensure information stored in provincial registries is maintained as a reliable and up-to-date source of truth.

This project works in collaboration with the Provider and Location Registry Enhancements to ensure proper governance, processes and training programs are in place to maintain accurate care provider, clinic location and health service data.

Benefits

  • Processes are established to maintain up-to-date information about care providers, clinic locations and how to request services anywhere in B.C.
  • Data is made available using existing clinical tools and web portals, making it easier for care providers and patients to find and access health services.
  • Duplication of information is minimized by using separate systems and databases, improving reliability, data quality and accuracy.
  • Operational support models are streamlined in a centralized way to request edits or updates across the registry.
