How to Request Access to CareConnect

Provisioning of CareConnect is managed by each health authority therefore a separate CareConnect request is required at each health authority a healthcare professional works at.

The healthcare professional is required to use the network account that is tied to the health authority they are working on behalf of at the time of use. This is to support privacy and legal requirements.

Steps for Requesting Access

Once a healthcare provider has an active FHA network account, they can apply for access to CareConnect, the Provincial eHealth Viewer, by visiting the FHA intranet site FH Pulse (to access this link you need to be on the health authority network).

New employees of Interior Health are automatically provisioned with access to CareConnect, the Provincial eHealth Viewer, if their role is identified as a role that requires access. The eHealth Viewer account access requests are submitted by the manager (User Access Request eForm) and are set up with their health authority network ID.

‎Select groups of Island Health healthcare providers have been provisioned with access to CareConnect, the Provincial eHealth Viewer. Information regarding how to apply for access is available on the Island Health intranet site here.

To request access to CareConnect at Island Health, please use the VIHA Access Request catalogue in Service Now here.

‎Once a healthcare provider has an active NHA network account, they can apply for access to CareConnect, the Provincial eHealth Viewer, here (to access this link you need to be on the health authority network).


For further information about the eHealth Viewer at Northern Health, please contact: eHealthViewer@northernhealth.ca or the Service Desk at 1-250-565-2784.

At Vancouver Coastal Health, Providence Health Care and Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), please use the online enrolment form found here.

Please note that an active VCH, PHC, and/or PHSA network account and the ability to access the health authority network is required to complete the online form.
