PHSA’s Research and Academic Services team supports research across the organization and provides provincial leadership in student practice education, strengthening innovation, governance and academic partnerships across British Columbia.
We support PHSA’s research programs by:
coordinating with corporate services to strengthen support for PHSA’s research mandate;
guiding researchers and staff through PHSA’s research processes and governance requirements;
providing advice on compliance, risk management and responsible conduct of research;
managing PHSA’s Research Conflict of Interest (COI) process to promote transparency and safeguard public trust.
We provide provincial leadership and coordination for student practice education across PHSA programs.
Our work includes:
- coordinating student placement processes and orientation standards across programs;
- establishing and maintaining academic affiliation agreements with post-secondary partners;
- supporting appropriate access to clinical systems for students and faculty;
- harmonizing education processes to ensure consistent, high-quality practice education across the province.
