Professional Conduct

PHSA's mandate ensures the planning, coordination, accessibility, quality, efficiency and effectiveness of several province-wide health-care programs and services.

As a means of fulfilling its mandate, PHSA developed policies to ensure the highest standards of conduct are maintained and that the organization remains open, accountable, and transparent to the public and its sponsors.

PHSA’s policies commit to standards and behaviours that employees and other parties engaged in the workplace are to demonstrate on an ongoing basis, including serving patients and the public interest; demonstrating personal and professional integrity; promoting an ethical environment; and striving for professional excellence.

PHSA’s policies work to shape an inclusive, equitable and safe workplace culture in alignment with our purpose, vision, values and teachings. PHSA policies address specific circumstances and provide information on informal and formal reporting and resolution processes.
