CF Care BC’s grant team is accepting applications for CF medication and travel expenses for all 2026
We are no longer accepting 2025 receipts as of January 15, 2026.
If you will be visiting one of the four provincial Cystic Fibrosis clinics in B.C . for treatment, you are eligible to apply (confirmation required).
Applications are open for 2026 receipts. All applications will be placed in queue and processed on a first come, first served basis until funds are exhausted or December 31, 2026.
Please note, first time applications to the grant may encounter processing times of up to 4-6 weeks. Subsequent applications will be paid out faster, in 1-2 weeks.
- Up to $1500 per calendar year for CF medications and equipment for people living with CF or CF-related conditions who are seen at a B.C. CF clinic. Some equipment may require a letter of support from your CF team.
- A full list of eligible medications and equipment is available here. Please review the list as there have been some additions that may be beneficial to some individuals.
- Eligible travel expenses for a CF clinic visit or CF-related hospitalization, such as car mileage, air transport, and accommodation. As travel expenses can be complex, please review the comprehensive policy manual for detailed information and reach out to your clinic social worker or CFgrant@phsa.ca if you need more information.

- First, consider other funding sources, such as:
- Ensure that you have the following ready:
- medication, equipment and/or travel receipts for 2026 (gas receipts are NOT required for mileage)
- medication receipts should indicate who the medication was prescribed to, date, and amount paid. Medications should be prescribed by CF clinic physicians and related specialists (e.g. endocrinology). Some cashier cheques will be accepted for supplements - please try to keep CF items separate from groceries and other purchases and highlight the CF items.
- travel receipts should indicate who the travel was for, the date(s) indicated, and amount paid. Note: the CF grant does not reimburse for travel paid using frequent flyer points.
- photo of prescription - multiple prescriptions can be in the same photo - please ensure photo shows date, amount, item and name of person
- signed visit confirmation (for travel requests only)
- current mailing address
