Indigenous-specific Anti-racism Training

PHSA is dedicated to improving cultural safety, taking action to eradicate Indigenous-specific racism across all of its programs and services, creating the conditions that allow greater equity for all.

Eradicating racism and discrimination against First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples at PHSA will support the organization to implement daily practices that support the provision of culturally safe and anti-racist care.

Completing San’yas Anti-racism Indigenous Cultural Safety Training and Anti-Indigenous Racism Response Training (ARRT) will equip medical staff with the framework to create an equitable, anti-racist and culturally safe health system where everyone thrives.

All medical staff must complete San’yas Anti-racism Indigenous Cultural Safety Training (either Core ICS Health or Core ICS Mental Health), and Anti-Indigenous Racism Response Training (ARRT) via LearningHub*

New medical staff should complete the training within six months of their start date.

Important update:

The deadline for eligible medical staff to invoice for compensation for San’yas and Anti-Indigenous Racism Response Training (ARRT) has now passed. All PHSA-funded seats for the San’yas Anti-Racism Indigenous Cultural Safety Training have been filled for this fiscal year. No additional pre-paid spaces are available.
