BEACON Leadership Program

BEACON is a 24-month leadership program for PHSA medical staff. This program provides comprehensive and practical leadership training for current and future leaders, and aims to bring the PHSA vision and North Star priorities to life.

Why BEACON?

PHSA believes that all medical staff are leaders. They make critical decisions with patients and families, determine resource utilization in support of those decisions, and are in constant pursuit of better ways to help patients achieve their medical goals. BEACON aims to narrow the gap between the responsibility medical staff bear for patient outcomes and influence to transform the health system for all British Columbians. The program weaves Indigenous learning, truth and reconciliation into fundamental leadership themes that will empower its participants to lead BC’s health system into the future.
