Research Ethics BC (REBC)

As part of the BC Academic Health Science Network, REBC supports a province-wide, harmonized system for research ethics reviews of studies conducted in multiple geographic areas involving the resources, people, patients or data from more than one BC research institution.
Please visit the REBC website for more information about this project.

If you have a research study that requires approval at more than one BC institution or health authority, please contact your local REB before submitting an application.

A ‎PHSA-approved file transfer service is now available for anyone with VCH, PHC or PHSA email credentials

Visit the UBC Clinical Research Ethics Board (CREB) Advice and Online Presentations page for tips on submitting a clinical REB application.

For funding release prior to ethics approval, submit a request to UBC ORS. The form can be found under the financial forms tab.
