Work with your primary care provider to arrange surgical care planning.

2Get a referral

Depending on the surgery you are selecting, your primary care provider sends a referral, including your completed readiness assessment(s), through the appropriate referral process.

3Have a consultation

Complete one or more consultation appointments with your surgeon. Funding approval for your surgery may be needed. Visit surgery funding for more information.

4Prepare for surgery

Book a date and prepare to have surgery.

5Have surgery and recover

Complete your surgery and recover with guidance and supports from your surgeon and primary care physician.
