Participating in Long COVID Research

Research is one of the main pillars of the Post-COVID-19 Interdisciplinary Clinical Care Network (PC-ICCN).

Our Network coordinates patient-oriented research that leads to rapid learning and data-sharing to improve care. Our researchers represent diverse areas of health care expertise and are actively doing research to support communities throughout B.C. and Canada.

Get involved in research studies

Participating in research can help scientists learn more about the persistent symptoms of post-COVID condition (PCC), or long COVID. We want to make that people from a range of backgrounds and experiences have the opportunity to participate in research. A more diverse group of participants means research that is relevant to more people.

If you are a patient with  PC-ICCN who is interested in participating in long COVID studies, email  post-COVID-research@phsa.ca to learn how you can get involved.

Recruiting Studies

  • Lived experiences of Long COVID patients and care management practices in British Columbia: gaps, recommendations, and way forward: Dr. Ben Mortenson
This study explores the experiences of individuals living with long COVID in BC, focusing on how care is provided and how it can be improved to gather insights that will help shape better care and support for those affected by long COVID.

  • Long-term Health Effects of COVID-19 on the Auditory and Vestibular System: Dr. Navid Shahnaz
This study aims to understand better the potential relationship between COVID-19 and hearing or balance impairments to help develop intervention strategies to prevent and manage complications related to hearing and balance.
