Appointments

Appointments is the process of becoming a member of the PHSA medical staff (dentists, midwives, nurse practitioners, clinical scientists and physicians).

Credentialing & Privileging

PHSA Medical Affairs is responsible for credentialing and privileging all medical staff at PHSA programs.

The appointment process is comprised of two parts – credentialing and privileging. It is often thought that “privileging” is a synonym for “credentialing” but the two terms have different meanings, as described on the Credentialing & Privileging page.

Reappointments

PHSA medical staff must renew their membership with PHSA and undergo review by their leader. This is accomplished through the annual reappointment process. See the Reappointments page.
