Educational opportunities for learning about gender diversity and creating gender-affirming environments.
The following courses are offered through the LearningHub. The first two are available two ways:

Intro to gender diversity
This 30+ minute version of
Intro to gender diversity introduces key terms and concepts, along with basic strategies for creating welcoming and accessible gender-affirming services.
If you engage often with service users, clients, patients, and their families, then we recommend you take the expanded version of the course, listed below.

Intro to gender diversity - expanded
This one-hour version of
Intro to gender diversity is designed for care and service providers and staff who engage directly with clients, patients, and their families.
This course introduces key terms and concepts, the barriers gender diverse people experience accessing services, and basic strategies for creating welcoming and accessible gender-affirming services.

Indigenous gender diversity: Creating culturally relevant and gender-affirming services
This three-hour online course is for people working in health and social service settings to increase their awareness, knowledge, and skills when improving service access for gender diverse Indigenous people across British Columbia.
The course has been developed in collaboration with gender diverse Indigenous and Two-Spirit community members.

Supporting gender creative children and their families
This 90-minute online course is for people who work with children and their families. It builds on the key terms and concepts explored in the foundational course Intro to gender diversity.
This course introduces foundational information about gender development and affirmation along with strategies for supporting children and their families.
Trans rights toolkit
A 30-minute online course introduces the learner to the legal rights of gender diverse people in B.C. This course is a companion piece to the
Trans Rights BC web guide.

Gender-affirming primary care
This CME accredited 60-90 minute online continuing medical education course is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses. By understanding trans and gender diverse health issues and considerations for care, you will then have knowledge and skills to implement the Gender-Affirming Framework to improve the care of gender diverse patients. The course also provides patient hand-outs and resources.
