Dr. Krista Genoway is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon based in Vancouver, BC. She completed her medical school and residency training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of British Columbia. She then completed a fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery with a sub-specialty focus on providing gender-affirming surgical care in San Francisco, California.
Dr. Genoway began offering upper surgery in 2016 and lower surgery in 2019. She is a clinical instructor in the Department of Surgery at UBC and is active medical staff within Vancouver Coastal Health.
Ray Croy (she/they) is a registered nurse working in Vancouver Coastal Health's Gender Surgery Program operating out of Vancouver General Hospital. Previous to joining the Gender Surgery Program she worked as the Surgical Coordinator for Trans Care BC and as a clinic nurse at VCH's Trans Specialty Clinic.
They have certified practice in STI management and contraceptive management and previously completed surgical readiness assessments under the support and supervision of Dr. Marria Townsend at Trans Care BC. Ray is experienced in coordinating and delivering post-operative care for patients who have had gender-affirming surgery. Ray is passionate about the nursing role in gender-affirming care within our health care system and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, registered clinical counsellors, and registered health care professionals are invited to join Dr. Krista Genoway and Ray Croy on the May 21st Mentorship Call. This dial-in meeting will provide an opportunity for sharing of information and resources, clinical discussion and professional networking.
