Clinical mentor spotlight: Dr. Kelly Mattheis

We are pleased to introduce April 9th Clinical Mentorship Call mentor:  Dr. Kelly Mattheis!

​Dr. Kelly Mattheis (he/him) is a General Practitioner working in Vancouver Coastal Health's Trans Specialty Care program operating out of Three Bridges Community Health Centre in downtown Vancouver.  Dr. Mattheis has been caring for trans and gender diverse people since 2006 and has been an approved surgical assessor in BC since 2013.  He also holds a medical leadership role within VCH as the Medical Coordinator for Trans Specialty Care since 2016.   Dr. Mattheis is passionate about educating providers to increase the capacity for access to gender affirming care within our health care system. 

Physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, registered clinical counsellors, and registered health care professionals are invited to join Dr. Mattheis on the April 9th Mentorship Call. This dial-in meeting will provide an opportunity for sharing of information and resources, clinical discussion and professional networking. 

Trans Care BC’s Clinical Mentorship Call is held every Thursday from 12:10 to 1:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). If you would like to be involved, please email trans.edu@phsa.ca to be included on our distribution list. Meeting minutes will be made available to all members.
