We also know that the existing information within the Trans Health Information Program (THiP) website wasn't always easy to find. To improve access to this information, we pulled together Trans Care BC content and the THiP website into a single new and improved website.
We hope that you will find this new website to be an informative and wide-ranging resource for trans, gender diverse and Two Spirit people in BC and their loved ones, as well as for care providers across the province. Our priority is to ensure that the main audiences using this site can easily find the information they need. To make the navigation simple and intuitive, we conducted focus groups with community members, family members, and health care professionals. We used that input to develop a website navigation, and then invited community members, families and health professionals across the province to test online how they would find information for certain topics. All of that feedback went into informing the final navigation of this site.
This site contains all of the information previously found on the THiP website – so you can be assured that no resources have been lost, they may just be in different locations. The new website also includes a searchable service directory for peer support groups and trans friendly care providers, that we hope to add to over the coming years.
More in-depth information will be added in the future as Trans Care BC continues to develop resources about gender-affirming care. Our goal is to make this website the best place to get current news and information about the Trans Care BC program and gender-affirming health care in BC.
We welcome your feedback! We are always looking for ways to improve and this website will continue to evolve. If you have comments about our website, please email them to email@example.com.
