Clinical Mentor Spotlight: Lu Lam

We are pleased to introduce our December 3rd Clinical Mentorship Call mentor:  Lu Lam!

​‎Lu Lam, M. Ed. C.C.C. is a Chinese-Taiwanese trans-identified Clinical Counsellor, Clinical Educator, and Mindfulness Consultant in private practice with a Master’s of Education in Counselling Psychology (OISE, UT).  Lu’s been supporting trans, non-binary and gender expansive communities for over 12 years, specializing in an intersectional anti-oppression approach. He has developed trans affirming curriculum for health institutions and post-secondary organizations in both Toronto and Vancouver. Lu holds over 22 years of experience in front line counselling and program design for communities who have been marginalized. He teaches mindfulness to transform the trauma of cultural oppressions and trains mental and primary health professionals in clinical resilience. To find a wakeful balance in his work, Lu has a daily mindfulness practice of 12 years, wild swims and cherishes his family time.  Lu’s a settler learning to be a guest on the unceded lands of the Musqueam,  Squamish and Tsleil- waututh First Nations.

Physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, registered clinical counsellors, and registered health care professionals are invited to join Lu Lam on the December 3rd Mentorship Call. This Zoom meeting will provide an opportunity for sharing of information and resources, clinical discussion and professional networking. 

Trans Care BC’s Clinical Mentorship Call is held every Thursday from 12:10 to 1:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). If you would like to be involved, please email to be included on our distribution list. Meeting minutes will be made available to all members.
