Smoking Cessation

PHSA staff who wish to stop smoking or would like to support others in doing so can access a number of workplace and community resources.
Nicotine Replacement
Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) helps relieve some of the withdrawal symptoms people experience when they stop using tobacco products. Staff can access cost coverage for smoking cessation aids through the BC Smoking Cessation Program.
BC Smoking Cessation Program
This program is open to BC residents who wish to stop smoking or using other tobacco products. The program provides coverage for the cost of smoking cessation aids, including prescription smoking cessation drugs, NRT gum and NRT patches.
