Keeping our patients and staff safe is our top priority. As part of our response to COVID-19, we have developed a safety plan for each of our worksites.
There are many measures in place to help prevent the transmission of COVID-19. These may include:
- Pre-screenings conducted both over the phone (prior to appointment) and at site entry points
- Consistent and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), supported by ongoing education
- Medical masks must be worn by everyone in a clinical/patient care area including common areas and break rooms, unless eating and/or drinking.
- For all persons working in non-clinical/patient care areas, a mask should be worn in any indoor space where people are unable to maintain two metres distance from each other.
- Routine cleaning practices for high-touch surfaces
- Proper respiratory and hand hygiene etiquette for prevention of the transmission of disease
- Strategic locations of alcohol-based Hand Rub (ABHR) stations
- Visitation limitations to minimize foot traffic in our sites
We have developed robust safety plans and checklists to ensure all of our locations have implemented the recommended precaution measures.
