Academic Partners

The BC Cancer Agency has established formal affiliations with universities and institutions in British Columbia. PHSA’s Technology Development Office supports activities that fuel this collaboration, development and innovation.

The PHSA Technology Development Office (TDO) helps manage interactions between scientists, clinicians and academic partners to promote the development of relationships and to explore opportunities for translating discoveries into innovations.

Academic partners are invited to contact TDO for any of the following:

Research materials

TDO can help academic partners enter into a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA)  to receive BC Cancer Agency research materials. Please contact us for more information.

We can also connect you to the right person if you’re interested in receiving research materials developed at another PHSA agency.

Discussing opportunities

If you'd like to discuss a potential collaboration or obtain more information about a researcher at the BC Cancer Agency or PHSA, please contact us.

If your discussions include proprietary or confidential information, TDO can prepare and execute a Confidential Disclosure Agreement (CDA) on behalf of PHSA.

Funding transfers

Some projects funded by government granting agencies involve multiple institutions. To facilitate this, TDO provides inter-institutional funding transfers and sub-grant agreements. To get started, please complete a Subaward/Subcontract Request and submit it to TDO Admin.
