A new research-specific privacy advisor position has been created to support the PHSA research community.
This new resource was established to help clarify PHSA privacy and security requirements related to research conducted at PHSA, and to assist our research community in meeting those requirements.
The Privacy Advisor for Research Services will work directly with PHSA researchers and research staff to identify privacy and security risks, and provide practical, solution-oriented advice on how to avoid or mitigate those risks. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, Research, with a matrix reporting relationship to the Chief Freedom of Information (FIO) & Privacy Officer, the Advisor will help develop and utilize proportionate risk evaluation tools, and develop policies, procedures and education tools to build accountable information stewardship and privacy conscious practices that enhance the conduct of health research within a complex e-health environment.
Individuals with strong experience in health research management and administration are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with health research, in addition to privacy and security, is a major asset.
