BC Ethics Harmonization Initiative (BCEHI)
BCEHI is a collaboration among the provincial health authorities and BC's four major research universities, who collectively conduct more than 80 percent of the province's human subject ethics reviews. It aims to create efficient, coordinated, and high-quality processes that support and encourage multi-jurisdictional human health research. The goal is to make BC a more attractive environment for research activity. Please visit the BCEHI website for more information about this project.
If you have a research study that requires approval at more than one BC institution or health authority, please contact your local REB before submitting an application.
