Hospitals & Foundations

As agencies of the Provincial Health Services Authority, BC Children’s Hospital, BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre and Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children have been dedicated to providing excellent, specialized health care for infants, children, youth, women and families from across the province for over 50 years.

The BC Children’s and BC Women’s Redevelopment Project is a three-phase project, which will result in combining all three facilities on one campus: BC Children’s Hospital, which serves the most seriously ill or injured British Columbian children and youth; Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children, which offers development and rehabilitation programs for children with disabilities; and BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre, the only facility in British Columbia devoted to the health of women, newborns and families, and one of the busiest maternity centres in Canada.

Hospital Foundations

Both the BC Children's Hospital Foundation and the BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre Foundation play important roles in funding hospital initiatives.

The construction of the Teck Acute Care Centre (TACC) has been made possible in part through the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s $200 million “Campaign for BC Children.” Over the past five years, $150 million has been raised for the TACC, and a further $50 million for the delivery of specialized care to children across the province through Child Health BC.
