This section contains information about OHS Solutions, a group funded provincially that provides OHS tools and services to the BC Healthcare sector.

Incident Investigation Tracking Tool

The incident investigation tracking tool allows healthcare managers and supervisors to accurately track and monitor workplace incident investigations. The web-based tool was developed collaboratively by all of the health authorities, and promotes thorough and consistent incident investigations. It also allows online submission to WorkSafeBC.

The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Database enables healthcare visitors to search and view SDSs via the internet and substantially reduces the amount of time and effort needed to find, establish and maintain an SDS library.

OHS Reporting

The OHS Reporting Solutions website provides workplace health staff and leaders with provincial OH&S data that can assist in analysis, communication planning and decision making. The dashboards and reports provide an accurate picture of the health of the province, and how each health authority measures in comparison.

Online Learning, Innovation and Performance Support

This service assists provincial initiatives and programs by designing and developing education and performance support solutions, developing change management strategies and communications collateral to support rollouts of new initiatives.

SafetyTask is a web application that allows leaders and safety professionals to assign, track and report on safety and prevention activities and action items. It was developed collaboratively with representation from each of BC's health authorities.

WHITE Database

The Workplace Health Indicator Tracking and Evaluation (WHITE) Database is a web-based system that centralizes information on incident tracking and case management. The information enables the healthcare sector to reduce and/or eliminate workplace injuries, provide prompt clinical and workplace interventions to reduce disability and time loss, and evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety programs.
