Your first week is all about getting oriented with the organization, your team, and your work. You should have already completed, or at least signed up for, the new employee orientation course, to help you understand a bit more about PHSA.
By the end of your first week, you will receive a short online survey to seek your feedback on your first week with us.
Below is some important information that will help guide you through your first week with us. Please ensure you review all the information below and complete required safety training via LearningHub (on-line training tool).
Your First Week
You should complete all of the benefits forms before you start, but if you are not able, ensure any outstanding documentation relating to your pay or benefits is completed as early as possible.
If you have not received the package and forms, or if you would like more information, please contact the Benefits Call Line: (604) 297-8683 (1-866-875-5306 outside of the Lower Mainland) or Email: employeeRBsupport@hssbc.ca.
The LearningHub is PHSA's on-line education and training tool for both on-line and classroom courses. The LearningHub offers many benefits, such as: course tracking, personalized e-mail reminders, and learning history. The LearningHub is available to you even before your first day at work. To access the LearningHub, follow instructions on how to create your employee LearningHub account. You may also contact the LearningHub Support at firstname.lastname@example.org for further assistance.
Download the LearningHub Manual for Users to learn to locate and register for a course during your first week.
All Employees are REQUIRED to complete an E-Learning Curriculum through LearningHub within the first week of starting work. The Learning Curriculum was designed to make it easy for employees of PHSA and Agencies to complete important safety training from a computer or from home.
Note: Classroom sessions are also available for some of the below courses. If you do not have a computer or require assistance with computer based learning, please advise your leader. There are computer labs and resource libraries at various locations and sites.
