Your First Months

After your first month, we hope that you feel like part of the team and are settling into your role. You will have attended an orientation session, should have completed specific and required safety training, and discussed performance objectives with your leader. Ensure you are familiar with PHSA/your Agency values, and if you know someone who might like to work for PHSA, go ahead and refer them using our Talent Detective employee referral program.

Note: As you become increasingly familiar with PHSA, you may be asked to complete questionnaires designed to help us continue to improve the quality of services for new employees.

 

As you continue to expand your social networks and your contributions to the PHSA family grow, we hope you feel engaged and excited. 


By building a mentoring relationship with your manager/colleagues and asking for feedback, you can continue to have a positive impact on the organization. 


At the six month mark, you should have participated in your six month probationary review. This is an opportunity to have a open dialogue with your leader, and to plan out the work and career goals for the year.  


We believe continuous, two way feedback is important. Twice a year we have carry out formal employee reviews. Be sure to speak with you leader about scheduling your review periods. 


You will also be getting your third and final email survey at the seven month mark.
