Social workers make a real difference in the lives of patients and families during their health care journey. We’re celebrating PHSA’s social workers during Social Work Week – March 15 to 21 – with a special video honouring the important role they play on the health care team and the partnerships they build with patients, families and other health care providers.

Social workers act as advocates, advisors, educators and navigators, serving their clients in a way that extends beyond physical health – providing a helping hand or a shoulder to lean on in times of need.
