Provincial Occupational Health & Safety Programs
On October 1, 2010, PHSA began supporting the following provincial programs previously maintained by the Occupational Health and Safety Agency for Healthcare (OHSAH) in BC, as that organization has ceased operations due to discontinued funding. - OHS Connect: OHS Connect is a community where anyone working in BC healthcare can collaborate on projects and resource development, share resources and take part in online events that deal with Occupational Health & Safety.

- MSDS Database: The Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) Database enables healthcare visitors to search and view MSDSs via the internet and substantially reduces the amount of time and effort needed to find, establish and maintain an MSDS library.

- WHITE Database: The Workplace Health Indicator Tracking and Evaluation (WHITE) Database is a web-based system that centralizes information on incident tracking and case management. The information enables the healthcare sector to reduce and/or eliminate workplace injuries, provide prompt clinical and workplace interventions to reduce disability and time loss, and evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety programs.

- Learning & Development Opportunities: Online opportunities for BC healthcare staff are available to develop healthcare-specific occupational health and safety knowledge and skills, share resources and collaborate on projects. The Online Learning Centre houses a variety of healthcare-specific courses free-of-charge to anyone working in BC healthcare.
