Provincial Emergency Services Project

The Provincial Emergency Services Project (PESP) was launched in November 2002 as the first collaborative, province-wide approach to improve access to and the effectiveness of BC's emergency health services system. The project’s aim is to produce system-wide improvements at the provincial level, and to identify innovative, actionable solutions that can be shared among the health authorities and that build on the local efforts of health authorities. The health authorities continue to be responsible for the emergency services offered in the health care facilities within their regions.
