Donisa Bernardo recently retired as financial secretary for the Hospital Employees’ Union, having held the position for 12 years and served on its Provincial Executive since 1998. Donisa sits on the Municipal Pension Plan as a trustee since 2001. In 2014, she was appointed by the Municipal Employees Pension Committee as primary trustee, representing all unions on the MPP Board. She currently serves as chair of the Benefits Committee, and as a member of the Appeals Committee and Governance Committee. Donisa started her health-care career as a pharmacy technician in 1984. She has been active in various groups, always promoting social justice and feminist issues.

Gary Caroline is a lawyer with over thirty years of expertise in labour, employment, pensions, administrative, human rights and international public law. For the past several years, Gary has had a deep interest in methods and processes for fighting corruption both here and abroad.
Gary's innovative thinking and pragmatism are grounded in his many years of obtaining creative solutions in the labour relations context. He is often called upon to offer strategic advice and to lead negotiations for major collective agreements including in the health care sector.
Gary has been successful in transferring that experience to cases where his clients have been wrongly detained by foreign governments. He is proud of the work he did around the release of Mohamed Fahmy from Egypt, Abderrahmane Ghanem from Algeria and many others. He is also the president of the international consultancy firm The Ofelas Group Inc.
Providing free legal advice and representation to community groups and individuals has been a hallmark of Gary's dedication to the human and civil rights of others. Currently, he represents several Iranian journalists and human rights defenders seeking asylum in Canada. He is also a board member of the Mayne Island Recycling Society.

Bill Chan currently sits on the Board of Directors of Vancity Credit Union, Canada's largest community-based credit union with over 560,000 members and $33 billion in assets. Bill is the Chair of the Audit Committee and member of the Governance and Risk Committees.
Bill has over 25 years of executive management experience with Encorp/Return-It depots, responsible for recycling in Metro Vancouver and throughout communities in B.C. He directed, managed, and led a dynamic team to deliver a convenient, effective recycling network of Return-It depots for beverage containers, consumer packaging and end-of-life electronic products.
Bill's career path has focused on environmental (recycling and waste management, impact investing), social (diversity and inclusion, product stewardship) and governance (stakeholder engagement, cybersecurity, and data protection). His formal education includes a Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA, CGA) and a MBA from Asia Pacific University. He has also completed the ICD-Rotman Directors Education Program through the Institute of Corporate Directors (2020).

Julia Dillabough is currently a Manager of Community & Service Excellence for TELUS, and the Owner & Operator of J3 Adventures. Julia volunteers for the Quesnel & District Chamber of Commerce as a Director.
She was involved in launching the Quesnel Pride Society and has played hockey at the elite level, where she was captain of the team at the University of Regina during her final year, and also played in Europe. Julia has a passion for healthy living, supporting mental health initiatives, and encouraging people to live their best lives.

Dianne Doyle is a past President and CEO of Providence Health Care. Diane began her health care career as a staff nurse, and in her multiple roles of clinician, educator and senior administrator has maintained a focus on patient-centred care, quality and safety.
Dianne has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Ottawa and a Master's in Nursing from the University of British Columbia. Her health leadership credentials include a certificate in Health Services Management from CHA, a Certified Health Executive certification from The Canadian College of Health Service Executives and a Fellowship in The Canadian College of Health Leaders.
Dianne’s commitment to a journey of Truth and Reconciliation is reflected in ongoing learning including a certificate in Canadian Indigenous Culture. She is active in her community, supporting many non-profit organizations. She currently serves on the Boards of Providence Living, Mothers Matter Centre and the Registered Nurses Foundation of BC.

Joanna (Jo) Gislason is a lawyer with expertise in human rights, labour and employment and administrative law. Jo was managing partner of a boutique law firm in Vancouver for ten years before founding her leadership consultancy in Victoria.
She has a BA with an emphasis in organizational psychology and cultural studies, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Victoria and a Masters of Law in administrative and constitutional law from Osgoode Law School, where she also completed the certificate program in Tribunal and Board Adjudication.
Jo also holds certificates in mediation (Harvard University and US Department of Justice), leadership coaching (New Ventures West) and restorative justice (Simon Fraser University).

Wii Esdes, Sandra A. Martin Harris
Sandra Martin Harris is from the Wet’suwet’en Nation of the Laksilyu, Little Frog Clan and is a member of the Witset First Nation.
Since 2007 Sandra has worked as a community developer and social development advisor at the Gitksan Government Commission. She loves community development work, community and watershed planning. Sandra is also an Indigenous Focusing Complex Trauma (IFOT) practitioner working with health, social and justice front-line workers. This work helps her share teachings about intergenerational trauma, grief and loss, supports for first responders, suicide prevention and debriefing supports to front-line staff using a body-centred and land-based approach.

Piotr Majkowski is a health care leader with experience from across the sector in clinical care, education, research, and policy. As a registered nurse, Piotr’s clinical experience spans Acute, Tertiary & Community Mental Health and Substance Use, Pediatrics, and Public Health.
As a Nursing Educator Piotr taught Applied Nursing Ethics and Mental Health Practice at Langara College, Douglas College and the University of British Columbia. Passionate for health system improvement, Piotr has worked with multiple international organizations, including the World Health Organization, on projects in the field of social health inequities. Piotr is also strong community advocate and has served on the many boards including community organizations and regulatory bodies.
Today, Piotr works as a Program Director at Providence Health Care. Previously, he has worked with FHA and VCH in clinical and leadership roles. Piotr holds a Masters’ Degree in Public Health with a specialization in Social Inequities from Simon Fraser University.

Gloria Morgan is a former Federal Adjudicator with the Indian Residential School Independent Process. Gloria has worked in many areas including as a RCMP Officer, Lawyer, and was Chief for two terms of Splatsin Indian First Nation. She has served and continues to serve on several local and provincial boards and committees.
Gloria is a Member of the Board of Governors and Chair of Okanagan College. She was a Board Member of Splatsin Tsm7aksaltn Teaching Center and volunteers on many occasions for the Splatsin First Nation. She is currently a member of the North Okanagan Neighbourhood Small Grants Committee. Gloria received her Law Degree from the University of British Columbia.

Richard is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Mercer International Inc., a role he has held since 2014. Previously he served as Mercer’s Vice President, Controller, and has held senior finance roles at both Catalyst Paper Corporation and The Alderwoods Group Inc.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and has been a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada since 1993.
